Keeping an Unplanned Baby

In life we plan everything, from the beginning of the year to the very end. We plan our adulthood, what we study, career path we choose, the friends we have, what life to live, but honestly most babies are unplanned.

Life is full of surprises; therefore we should always expect the unexpected. In a situation we find out a baby is on the way, the first thing that comes to mind is how the baby will fit into our lives. It is necessary to remember a baby remains dependent only for a couple of years; he grows up and leaves to become an individual like us.

In keeping an unplanned baby, we must remember it takes 7-9months for a baby to be born, that is approximately 28-40weeks of planning. Planning for clothing, shelter, medication, adjustment, babysitting. It is so much fun when shopping for an unborn child as you are quizzical on what the child would look like and our imaginations begin to run wild.

Keeping an unplanned baby cannot be so challenging when you have your mind set for the next 18years with this child. The child would look up to you and learn from your finger tips. Even our lives need not be tampered with the coming of the child. We need to face it with confidence and determination, following the right diet and medication and boasting about it all at the end of 18years when the little individual bids you farewell to face the world on his or her own.
“A baby is God’s opinion that life should go on”-Carl Sandburg
