Thankfulness before Results

Many people particularly religious people have often expressed thankfulness before results. Let us take for example; a man who needs a job to pay his bills, take care of his aged parents and settle down with his childhood sweetheart. It is often said ‘thank before you receive.’ He takes to the innermost part of his heart and is thankful for the job not yet received but he hopes he receives it. After a month, the man gets the job and enough pay check to solve all of his problems. Would we call that faith? Thankfulness before results working? Or luck?
Tell us what you think.
