A Polish Conventual Franciscan friar, Saint Maximilian Maria
Kolbe came to the aid of drug addicts, prisoners and families. He was popularly
known as The Apostle of Consecration to Mary.
Maximilian Kolbe volunteered to die in place of a stranger
in Auschwitz. Completely selfless, his love
for people had no boundary.
