It was ten
days to Christmas and Mark was financially down. He had spent so much trying to
please his family; he barely had enough to last him till Christmas or after the
holidays. Then the phone began to ring but Mark ignored it; the persistent
caller rang again and again until Mark picked up angrily.
Sue, Mark’s
girlfriend insisted on meeting with him. A reluctant Mark obliged. Sue had
invested some money a year ago and her returns were laid on the table. Mark was
glad Sue was a part of his life; he was able to learn how to invest rather than
spend.
