How to be Thankful

Grace-Kelly wants to show gratitude to her family but has no idea of showing it. She is grateful for their love and support to her while she was in a mental institution and how they kept her friends intact through her recovery process. Here are some ways we have highlighted to show gratitude.
1.       Smiling to all at all times
2.       Hosting a dinner with family and friends present
3.       Being there for them in their own time of need
4.       Being expressive about your feelings of gratitude
There are many other ways to show how to be thankful and all are welcome in the comments section.

When to be Thankful

It is a question the mind asks all the time. The body is tired and weary from work, daily hustle and struggle and the mind is saying be thankful. When can one really be thankful?
1.       In good times
2.       In troubled times
3.       In confused times
4.       In joyful times
5.       At all times
There is not a particular hour or date to be thankful but there is a season to be thankful and that season is all the time; by the minute, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly-all the time. Counting it all makes you attain higher and see how far you have achieved.

What to be Thankful for

Every morning Tanya wakes up, she tries to reflect on her life; the reason she should get up or remain in bed. Her past still looms around her, her present is frustrating and her future seems bleak. Tanya takes her blanket and buries her head in it, then she remembers; she has a roof over her head, she has a man who loves her, she has a cat who depends on her and friends that rely on her and most of all she has something to contribute to the world to make it a better place.
Tanya throws off the blanket and goes to her computer to pen down what she is thankful for; she forwards it to her family and friends and they forward it around. In an hour, there are over fifty people who are thankful for something and wouldn’t have realized it if Tanya decided to remain in bed all day.
Make a list today of what to be thankful for; you will be surprised at how long your list is.

People to be Thankful to

Some people have played remarkable roles in our lives and we may never forget such people for their remarkable roles in our lives. Certain people could be;
1.       Our Parents/Guardians, who have been there for us probably since birth and guide us through life and prepare us for what to expect. They could have done it together as a couple or as a single parent, but if they have been there, we need to be thankful to them.
2.       Our Friends, who are there when we need them. They sacrifice their time and resources to help us and give up their lone time to help us out of loneliness.
3.       Our Neighbors, who open their doors at all time to listen to our fears, give us a shoulder to cry on and lend us a cup of sugar in the middle of baking bread.
4.       Our Colleagues, who out of the rivalry in the workplace pop an advice for us to carry on; who smile at us when we get a promotion and they do not; who looks out for us and fills in for us when we call in sick.
5.       Our Spouses, who accept us when we are sick, in the worst of conditions and patient with us when angry and rude. Who help us with house chores and keep us afloat marital chaos.
6.       Our Children, who are there for us when we have no one to talk to. Who sacrifice time, friends and fun to make us happy and deprive themselves youthful holidays to spend them with us.
7.      Our Family, who have helped us through the years. Paid bails, parking tickets, raised us when financially down and kept our worst secrets; they are our lifelines most of the time.
8.       Our Mentors, who we may never have met but we try to follow their paths. They have given up irresponsible lives to set good examples for people like us to follow. They live in high standard to keep you and me afloat.

There are many more out there that we need to be thankful for, reflect and find them all out to be thankful to them all. We here are thankful for Google Team and their images that beautify our blog. Who are you thankful for?

Things to be Thankful for

There are so many good and bad that life has give us and it is our role to be thankful. Most do not realize how important it is to be thankful but doing a little exercise of writing these things down do not only help us know how good life has been and how blessed we have been over the years and over the months. Here are a few things to be thankful for;
1.       Sound Health
All those reading this blog have no ailments and if some of them are on a sick bed, they are sure of getting out of it. What’s not to be thankful for?
2.       Sane Mind
We have a stable mental condition and are not addicted to crack, high on marijuana and are free from brain tumors; reflecting with ease, memory in check and thinking straight.
3.       Freedom
We are not locked up for a crime and if some of our readers are, there is hope you will gain your freedom soon. We can move at anytime we choose, take walks, jog, runs, swim and even bike and drive somewhere without help.
4.       Independence
We are not hostages of circumstances or criminals. We are old enough, wise enough and free enough to make our decisions without being pushed around.
5.       The Future
Most and probably all of us have big plans for the future. We know it will be bigger than the present and the past. It is when all our planned dreams will come true.
6.       The Present
This is much better than the past. We are certain of progress, though the future is unsure, we are positive of a better tomorrow.
7.       The Past
We all have remarkable pasts; some we are proud of, some we want to wipe out completely. The past grooms us for the future, helps us to avoid some paths and embrace others; refines us for the future to help ourselves and others.
What other things are you thankful for? Share and let us include in our list.
