Poem for the Day - First Love

It is true you never forget
That one first love
It is true no one is like
That one first love
It is true there is none as perfect as
That one first love
It is certain they keep lingering
That one first love
In our hearts forever
That one first love
Is like no other
That one first love
Is the one that completes us
For first love never dies.

How to fall in love

There are no strategies or methods on how to fall in love. But the important thing is falling in love the right way without hurting or harming anyone. A guy once fell in love with me, but looking back at it all, it wasn’t love but infatuation because he became obsessive and intolerable. He was in my hair and over possessed me. That is the wrong way to show or express love and it is kind of scary.

Usually, love is felt at first sight, other times it is unconsciously when you like what you see in this person. Sometimes love grows from constant company of friends when you realize you love being with this person.

How to fall in love must be natural, not aggressive, not demanding, taking time to confirm it is love you feel and not infatuation, being selfless, sacrificing and enduring.

Share a memorable way you fell in love.

Poem for the Day - Dream Love

I used to have a dream
It never turned into a nightmare
So I always longed for this dream.

It was about my love
Never met him though
But we knew one another.

In this private dream world
We walked, talked, cuddled
And spoke volumes of the future.

My dream love was none like any other
He was sincere, decent and charming
Graceful and romantic in every way.

I have searched for him in reality
And found him not
Because he exists not.

But he does in my dream
In a world I can be with him
My one dream love.

How to love a Person

If you do not love yourself, loving a person would be a challenge. I know a couple of people who have tried to love others but have failed. This is because they do not love themselves. If a person loves himself, he or she would be able to love another through these simple ways:
  1. Imagine yourself as someone else and in someone else’s situation.
  2. Consider loving the person as a task.
  3. Make it a duty that the person’s happiness depends on you.
  4. Look beyond the person’s looks and appearance for what makes him an individual.
  5. Listen and get to know what interests the person.

There are more ways to love a person, complete the above list on how to love a person with your comments.

Poem for the Day - Passionate Love

Ama touched his face
She flinched at his cringe
Had they gone at a fast pace?
She adored him like her fringe
Must be the metallic brace
They had always been like a door and hinge
Ama's passionate love had grace
So great his pain was her twinge
Ama felt what he did in this case
His own rumpled face was her cringe
And love made her appreciate her place.

Love

Love is a natural sensual feeling felt by a person to others, a pet, an object or anything that makes us feel happy, loved and belonged. We consider February a month of love because Valentine falls in this month, though love is experienced all round the year by everyone around the world at all times.

Love is a times selfish; not being wanted to be shared with anyone else. Sometimes we experience such selfish love among young ones who discourage their boyfriends or girlfriends from having anything to do with the opposite sex because of fear of losing them.

Love must come with trust. If trust exists in love, then the love grows and conquers all. Trust betrayed tarnishes the love felt by people who later in life conclude never to love again.

Love is giving your all-time, resources, energy. When people love, they do not expect in return. They give all they’ve got because they love.

What kind of love do you practice or experience?

Poem for the Day - In Love

What does it mean to be in love?
He thought it over and over
Was it what he felt for her?
He couldn't tell
Why was this feeling different?
He had never felt this way before
Had she noticed also?
He was uneasy and uncomposed
Was she the cause of all this?
He wanted to find out
Why did she treat him delicately?
He liked the treatment
What could he do to find out?
He had never felt this for anyone
Could he talk to someone?
He would rather tell her how he felt
Must this be love?
If it was-he was glad
But did she feel the same way?
If she did...
Being in love was wonderful.
