The Soul
The soul of man is immortal
Few are aware of this
The body is a mode of transportation
Only a handful know this.
Man seeks immortality
But they already are
The soul never dies
But stays alive into the next life
The body does not matter
What goes on with the soul is important
To keep it pure and safe
We only can meditate and pray
Souls must stay with us
Never to be sold for wealth or fame
Secure it for the afterlife
For souls are immortals

The Cave
The Cave is a part of human life where we find ourselves sometimes when we want to be alone. Described as a hollow place of seclusion where a person can hide from others for shelter and protection; a cave is often non-physical but psychologically created.
The cave is a special place to think and be alone by shutting everyone else out. It serves as a comfort zone for many when life seems too difficult to bear. Each one of us has a cave where we run to when in need of space; it helps us breathe, think and meditate to find solutions to challenges.
Some people never come out of their caves, especially when they feel all hope is lost; they remain there and find comfort there; thereby detaching themselves from the world. A cave must serve as a temporary abode for reflection, never a lifetime home.

Fathers Day
T. D. Jakes
"When a father gives to his son, both laugh; when a son gives to his father, both cry."
William Shakespeare
"I am not ashamed to say that no man I ever met was my father's equal, and I never loved any other man as much."
Hedy Lamarr
"A good father believes that he does wisely to encourage enterprise, productive skill, prudent self-denial, and judicious expenditure on the part of his son."
William Graham Sumner
"My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me."
Jim Valvano

Mothers are Teachers
The first Teacher
Anyone can have
Is a mother
The first lessons taught
By everyone
Is by a mother
The first words learnt
By everyone
Is from a mother
The first love felt
By all living beings
Is from a mother
The first classroom is the home
Where life lessons are taught
Is promoted by a mother
The first rebuke of correction
To put a person in check
Is by a mother

Refugees
Refugees are human beings
They are desperate for survival
They are forced to leave home
For a life you and I dream of.
Refugees are made like us
Their situation is complex
They need help and love
They deserve respect and kindness.
Refugees are brave people
They risk their lives to survive
They struggle with family and friends
Till they find a place to call home.
Refugees are among us
They need embrace and help
Anyone could be a refugee any day
Treat them as you would have them treat you.
