Adam was born
twenty years after his parents marriage. His father saw him as a blessing; his
mother worshiped him. Adam grew up like every other child did but was
particularly favored by his mother. She worshiped the ground he walked on,
cherished the words he spoke and adored his personality.
Adam’s father
warned his wife their son would soon be old enough to leave home and she would
find life difficult without her son, but she would not listen. When Adam was
twenty, he left home and joined the Army until to the dismay of his mother who
fell ill until the day he returned.
News arrived
soon after Adam had been killed; his mother could not bear the news and died in
sorrow. A month later, Adam returned home to receive the news of his mother’s
passing. He had been mistaken for someone else and he along with his father
mourned the death of the worshiper.
