It would not
have gone this far if both women had mended their differences without building
walls. It began on a December morning when Jane spoke rudely to Tara. Tara
demanded an apology but Jane would not give one. The walls gradually began to
grow when both women’s husbands ceased from communicating and visits were no
more. The walls between the families have grown so high they have become
strangers.
An apology
could breakdown the wall but none was prepared to settle the differences.
