An African-American woman who is remembered for her
humanitarian skills, the rescue of slaves and the struggle for women's
suffrage.
Harriet Tubman, formerly a slave escaped to become the
savior of other slaves. She is remembered as being an abolitionist of the
Underground Railroad, a nurse and during the American civil war, a spy.
