Hero of the Day - Amelia Earhart

A very popular heroine that can never fade with time is Amelia Earhart. She was an aviator and novelist; being the first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean is not just what made her a hero but opening the door for other women by encouraging the National Aeronautic Association to establish separate world altitude speed and endurance records for women. She was a pace setter who led the way for other women to follow through her bravery and determination; she helped form the Women's Aviation Clubs today.
