It was not the way it was taught, but the
way the message was conferred to the audience. A target group was taught on the
importance of thankfulness. The speaker made his listeners believe it was not
only a sin but a crime not to express thankfulness and evil is eliminated when
people are constantly thankful since they see and look forward to something
worth being thankful for.
This message put the listeners into a
thoughtful mood. One listener thought, thankfulness must not be verbally
expressed but can be appreciated from the heart without words. Another listener
thought the speaker was a preacher and not a teacher. An attentive listener
thought the speaker was speaking directly to him; he had thought all that came
to him was because he deserved it and there was no need to be grateful, but he
had a change of heart.
Which listener are you?
